Where to Eat Weekly

I would like to preface each post that I write with a reference to the “About the Author” page so that you know a little about me, and why I am writing this. So please check it out if you haven’t already.

During my time at Texas A&M, I ended up getting the meal plan for a lot of the time, and I don’t want to say anything bad about it other than it wasted a lot of my money a lot of the time, but it wasn’t the best decision I made when going to A&M. During the last few years, I found some really great deals when eating off campus.

Some of the best deals are at the local places. I was able to find meals for under $3. I ranked the value you can get for a meal in College Station.

  1. Laynes
    1. At Laynes you can get a great value chicken sandwich for $3.50. This used to be exactly $3, but they recently changed the price on me.
    2. They also, have the box, which is more than most people can eat in one sitting but its very filling for around $6.
  2. Fazolis
    1. They have a great deal on Tuesday’s and Thursdays. They call it the Trio Deal. You can get a slice of pizza, and two pasta sides for $2.5. This ends up being the best deal, but because it’s only available 2 days a week it is ranked here.
    2. They also, have a deal on Wednesdays but it doesn’t compare to the other deals.
  3. Chuey’s
    1. On Wednesday’s Chuey’s has a Free-Fully-Loaded nacho stand. Thats right, it is free. You can not beat this deal considering that you can eat for free, however, its always good to get a drink or two at the bar.
    2. The nacho stand is so good because it comes with Chips, Cheese, Beef, Beans, and Guacamole. This is literally better than I eat when I am home fixing a full plate for myself, and this is FREE.
    3. This is ranked here because it is only fully loaded on Wednesday’s, however, they have Chips and Cheese more than just Wednesday’s.

These are just some restaurants that stood out to me when I was looking for places to eat, however this certainly isn’t all the places. There are a bunch very affordable places to eat.
